It's been such a long time

♪ I think I should be goin', yeah, and  time doesn't wait for me, it keeps on rollin' ♪

What a month!  It feels like time just flies by lately.  This is what I have been up to since I last posted:

♥ Had a blackout that lasted 15 hours.  Made me realize how much I depend on technology.

♥ I started school last week.  My senior year at uni!  Looks like it's going to be a tough one (between large amounts of assigned readings, internship at Mingei, the upcoming art history club, and work... yikes).

♥ Signed up for some swaps that I am late mailing.

♥ Dreaming up products for the shop.

♥ Ordered a print gocco (so excited!) and some more polaroid film.

♥ Grew a soft spot for vinyl LP records and bought two Boston records and a Michael Jackson  one at great prices.

♥ Yesterday, I went to Daiso with J (my bf) and scoured some cute stationary, pretty chopsticks, chocolate molds, the tiniest mini silicone loaf mold, dessert erasers, tea bag box, and a bento box with a matching fork! {see pic above}

Staying up late

Last night I stayed up late eating cold grapes while trying to figure out... everything.  There will be many upcoming projects that I'm excited to share when the time comes.  At the same time I'm worried about the time these projects will take up because they are quite a few.  Nonetheless, they are things that I am passionate about and most of them I have been dreaming about doing for years.  As my last year of university approaches (yes, I graduate in May!!!) I feel like everything is finally coming together.  Since there is some sort of force that stops events from happening when they are spoken of excessively, I should stop here.  But I will end this by saying that I am super excited for the things to come!   

The Thrifted

I present to you the benefits of working in a thrift store (which otherwise is a draining and annoying retail job).  These vintage earrings caught my eye as soon as I saw them and decided to purchase a few pairs.  During the year and a half I have worked here I have scored some very cool things and so I will posting all of those great finds (as well as future ones) on my flickr.  I have purchased many things so it will take a while to take a picture of all of them!  

The Room

One of my upcoming projects is to redecorate my room.  Right now I'm mostly cleaning out, selling, and donating what I don't really need.  Once that stage is over, I can begin to do the actual decorating.  Here are some of the things I have my eye on:

From the beginning

I have been in and out of the blogging scene, never really well known, and I finally decided to start again.  Previously, when I first decided to become a part of the blogosphere, I was too worried about my blog being perfect, interesting enough, the amount of people that would visit, and whether or not I was writing well enough.  I told myself that I should not blog again until I am able let go of those worries and be free within my own virtual space.  Finally, I have realized that being myself is enough and that if I have even one reader, then I am lucky enough. 

As for being perfect, I think this polaroid sums it up.  I'm nowhere near.  In fact, I often refer to myself as a work in progress but I think evolving as a person is part of life.  So here's to blurry polaroids, to not being perfect, and to starting again.  

Here's to starting again

My life is like this self-portrait polaroid; undefined, amateurish, constantly moving, and yet there's something special there.  Join me in my journey, if you will.
